Week 8 - Division 3 Scoreboard

DECEMBER 11, 2025 GAME 1 VetiVa and RBC Lions battle to 4-4 draw in OT VetiVa and RBC Lions traded blows in a thrilling 4-4 tie with nothing being solved in overtime. VetiVa struck first when Paul Chai scored off a feed from Matt Ng from the corner at 13:30 of the opening frame, but RBC answered immediately in the next shift when Vincent Ahrens crashed the net to find a rebound which he backhanded in at 14:28. RBC took control early in the second with two goals from Stephen Levac at 2:32 and 8:26, including a wrap-around goal on the powerplay, for a 3-1 lead. VetiVa roared back as Theophilus Wong scored twice, the first blocker side high, the other glove side at 10:40 and 11:27, but just 40 seconds later, Alvin Sham (RBC LPP) steals it at the blue line and goes down on a breakaway beating Adrian Huen on a deke to regain RBC’s lead. In the 3rd, VetiVa poured on the pressure and with two and a half minutes left, Scott Strickland (VetiVa LPP) scored to tie the game and force overtime. CHG opened the scoring just 50 seconds in when Warren Ang converted off Marco Au’s feed, but Alvin Sham tied it at 7:40 when his shot went into a crowd in front of the net and found its way thru. The second period saw CHG regain control - Stephen Levac scoring against the run of play with a wicked backhand, only for Justin Wong to equalized after Xpat won a defensive faceoff which found Wong skating down for a breakaway from his own blueline as he went forehand backhand past Sumi Chau to tie the game again. Jon Der (CHG LPP) then wired a shot off the post and in to give CHG the lead heading into the 3rd period. In the third period, AsiaXpat fought back again as Justin Wong tied it at 11:40 when Rob Chiu’s shot hit Wong and lobbed over Chau. CHG responded decisively when Jon Der struck on the power play after intercepting an errant clearing attempt up the middle and backhanding it 5-hole for a 4-3 lead with 1:06 remaining. Leon Mo equalized a minute later as Mo and Tracy Wong spun their magic and completed a 2 on 1 passing play to give Mo a tap in. Jason Yip then did his Ryan Lee impersonation but from the right side finding the top corner to regain Manulife’s lead to end the first 2-1.
